Hay tres picos submarinos distintos dispuestos a lo largo de una l\u00ednea de trescientas yardas que corre de 120\u00ba a 300\u00ba, el m\u00e1s al norte se eleva a 83 pies de la superficie. El pico central a 52 pies y el sur a 69 pies. El pico central, con poca profundidad y una parte superior relativamente plana, es el sitio de buceo principal y el lugar de anclaje. Este es uno de los mejores sitios de buceo en el mundo para educar a los tiburones martillo. Como un monte submarino, El Baja es el hogar de una gran cantidad de vida marina, card\u00famenes de Amber Jacks, Tuna, adem\u00e1s de Giant Pacific Mantas, Octopus y la impresionante Panamic Green Moray Eel. Este es un sitio extremadamente diverso que se eleva hasta 20 pies de la superficie pero cae a casi 90 pies donde el arrecife toca el fondo de arena. No es un lugar f\u00e1cil de encontrar sin un experto en buceo y las corrientes pueden ser problem\u00e1ticas. Sin embargo, cuando se puede bucear, este es uno de los lugares de buceo m\u00e1s populares para los buceadores de La Paz. El arrecife en s\u00ed est\u00e1 marcado por callejones largos y estrechos o rocas y corales que son lo suficientemente grandes como para nadar. Las paredes de estos callejones est\u00e1n llenas de todo tipo de flora marina y una diversa poblaci\u00f3n de peces tambi\u00e9n encuentra protecci\u00f3n en ellos. En el centro de esta formaci\u00f3n rocosa natural, uno puede esperar ver densos card\u00famenes de sardinas plateadas, peces \u00e1ngel rey azules y dorados y peces cirujano amarillos entre corales de copa dorados. Estos islotes tambi\u00e9n albergan una colonia de m\u00e1s de 200 leones marinos marrones de California, famosos por su alegr\u00eda. Algunas \u00e1reas son lo suficientemente poco profundas para hacer snorkel, pero hay algunas inmersiones de pared interesantes a m\u00e1s de 85 pies cubiertas con Fan Coral y habitadas por numerosas especies de peces de roca, como Cabrilla, Grouper y Stonefish.
